I go to a customer's yesterday to clean a pond. this house has no grass in the backyard just paving stones.
He has a pond about 8ft long and about 5ft deep, with a waterfall. He tells me that he has 6 fish about 8in long. He has been feeding them and everything.
I start taking the water down so I can get the fish out easily and I get to the bottom of the pond and still no fish....I had emptied it so much that the wet vac was squealing. I ask him if he was imagining having these fish cause there isn't anything there!
He asked if they could be behind the waterfall or the lining.....listened for flopping noises, nothing.
Filled up the pond and left....got a call from customer all 6 fish have reappeared last night.
Too bad I didn't have my video camera for this drama!

Pond's
Not the same customer.....
Went to clean a pond. Customer had bought the house and they thought the pond was cleaned properly, but the had a huge algae problem. I suggested barley grass for them, which keeps algae at bay. Started pumping out the water when all of a sudden the pumps start to whine like they were dry. They are still under a good foot of water: bent down and it was plugged up with something. turns out previous owner put barley grass bags in and they had disintigrated over the years. It was just covering the bottom like sludge.
Tried catching fish with the net but all I would get was water. Took a shovel and starting cleaning out the sludge which looked like @#$%. Poor customer is now left with a big ol' pile in their backyard, hoping the neighbours don't get the wrong idea.
